of an Arctic expedition but to capture it on film in dramatic and compelling ways.
Filmmaker Sprague Theobald has always had an affinity for the sea. From his 3 year stint on the America's Cup yacht Intrepid to his private voyages from Alaska through the Panama Canal and into the Caribbean, Sprague has over 40,000 deep water miles under his belt. His look at The America's Cup in "The 25th Defense" won him an Emmy Award and his most recent work, "Welcome to Nordhavn" was pivotal in boosting the company's sales in 2007.
Adam Weissman is a highly prolific director whose work for such entertainment giants as Nickelodeon, MTV, Disney, and Family Channel has garnered awards from such diverse panels as the Chicago Film Festival, The International Film and TV Festival of NY and the CINE Competition. Adam is currently directing "They Are Among Us" a SciFi channel original movie for television, starring Isabella Rossellini, Judd Nelson and Gil Bellows of "Ally McBeal" fame. He is also developing several television and feature projects.
Captain Clinton Bolton has 15 years of professional yachting experience behind him. In addition to commanding a USCG 200 Ton Masters License and boasting an unblemished safety record over 100,000 miles of active duty, his extensive knowledge of marine engineering and technological expertise are unparalleled. He is also a Padi certified open water diver.
First Mate Dominique Tanton is a recipient of The American Yacht Institute's Silver Service Certificate. For the last five years she has acted as First Mate and Chef on a variety of yachts travelling throughout the Western Hemisphere. She has a STCW-95 Certificate, which is essential for mariners on commercial vessels in open ocean.
Master Diver Greg Deascentis has worked as a commercial diver since the early 1980's, being involved in every aspect of the business from instruction to repair and salvage. His early training as a news and commercial photographer has translated well to his work with underwater video equipment. Trained to the standards of the Association of Underwater Dive Contractors he is also an accomplished archeologist. His most recent adventure has been his involvement with the Rhode Island Marine Archaeology Project which has been instrumental in reclaiming Captain James Cook's ship Endeavor from the bottom of Newport Harbor.
